The flames danced around his body, the moonlight casted an silver glow on the small area. Brono stood in the middle, the flames swirled around his hand and a small smile came to his face. He was a fire bender to his very core. Brono stood in an open field, it was right after sunset and the warm air had settled and a cool breeze made the trees waltz. The warm flames around Brono's body was the only thing lighting the area, this was his training spot. He drew his fist back and delivered a fast punch, sending flames in front of him.
Again he punched the air in front of him, this time flames went to a near by tree. The fire started to spread around the tree, showing true destruction. Brono got closer to the tree, his hands moved with the wind, the fire lifted and soon vanished. He ran his fingers along the bark, most of it had turned to black ash. Fire bending, down to its core its just destruction. Brono had no idea why, but a tear rolled down his cheek. He quickly wiped it away, a scowl came to his face and he let out a yell which broke the calm night, flames came out of his mouth and went straight into the air.
He clenched his fist walked away, not wanting to be in the area another second. As he walked away he question why the tear came to his eye, was it because of all the lives that were lost at the hands of fire bending? Was that tree a reminder that you have to be careful when using the fire? He tried to get it out of his mind, but as soon as his eyes saw that tree, the images of a burning city came to his mind.
He was born as a fire bender, and fire benders were supposed to be ruthless. But yet, he did not understand why so much death and destruction happed in the past, he shook his head and tried to bring himself back into reality. He held his hand out with his palm up. A small fire ball formed, it was calm. He closed his hand, the fire vanished and he quickly punched upwards, sending many fire shots in the air that light the night sky like fireworks. No matter what he did the thought came back to him mind.
He closed his eyes and another yell came from his mouth, sending more flames into the night sky. He had made it back into town, he went up the stairs to his home and opened the door. He had a good life in the fire nation, and he was starting to come to terms with the past. Fire Lord Zuko had changed the fire nation a lot, and all of it was for the better. Brono closed his eyes once more as he sat down on his couch, and with that he drifted off to sleep.
